SETTINGS βš™οΈ

This button, found in the lower-left part of the screen,

is used to set your personal preferences:

Camera - If you have multiple camera devices plugged in to your laptop/computer, you can select them from Camera's drop-down menu.

Blurring and Mirroring - does what it says. Toggle them on according to your own liking.

Microphone - This is where you set your input mic. By default, this automatically selects a built-in microphone installed in cameras or monitors, but, if you plug in your own headphones/headset before joining the live session, this setting may select it as the default. You will have to manually check this when you join in a live session.

Audio output - This is where the sound will go out. If you have speakers plugged in, it will automatically be selected as default. Additionally, if you intend to use an earpiece, headset, or headphones, you should manually check this and have it selected.

Noise suppression profile - This feature allows you to minimize and filter out distracting background noise, such as ambient sounds, resulting in clearer audio for participants.

You can choose one of the following noise suppression profiles for Circle live that best suits your environment and needs:

  • Disabled: This option deactivates the web browser's built-in noise suppression and cancellation capabilities. It’s an ideal choice when you need unfiltered audio input.

  • Basic: This option activates the web browser's built-in noise suppression and cancellation features. Ideal for most users, this option reduces background noise to ensure clearer audio during live sessions.

  • Advanced: Choosing this option activates the advanced noise suppression algorithm that helps eliminate unwanted noises, such as chatter, barking, vehicle noise, or other background disturbances.

RAISE YOUR HAND 🀚

Raise your hand - to virtually indicate that you may need assistance, want to add something to an ongoing discussion, or want to ask questions. You may click this button to raise or lower your hands.

When you raise your hands, it'll be visible on your thumbnail in the live views and participant panel.

TOGGLE MICROPHONE 🎀

Toggle Microphone - this button is used to toggle your microphone on/off, regardless of the device you are using as your mic.

Please make sure your mic preferences are set correctly in your settings to be able to speak clearly when asking a question.

TOGGLE CAMERA πŸ“·

Toggle Camera - click this button to use or turn off your camera device.

CHAT πŸ““

Chat - in this section, you can write your questions if you are shy to speak, or there are questions currently being handled by the host. These questions will be checked by the host when there is nobody from the participants is speaking.

Pictures, links, and emojis are allowed to be written here.

Q&A ❓

Q&A - this is also where you can ask your question, with an option from the host to highlight your question. This means your question will be broadcast in the live room, which will be seen by all the participants.

However, this should be enabled by the host so that the participants can use it.

PARTICIPANTS πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦

Participants - clicking this button will show you the live room's list of participants, including the host/moderators.

Clicking on any participant will show you their Community Profile.

CHANGE VIEW MODE πŸ‘€

  • Speaker - top, which puts the speaker and participants at the top of the screen being shared by the host.

  • Speaker - side, this places the speaker and participants on side with the presentation.

  • Gallery - this mode is applicable if there are multiple windows and presentations being shared at the same time.

There is also an option to go Full Screen which follows the view mode you selected, in a full screen window.
